Pubknitters

Page history last edited by Lynn Berry 10 years, 6 months ago

Welcome to the Pubknitters

We are a Melbourne based group of keen knitters who get together once a month to celebrate knitting exchange ideas and inspire each other.

We work on our own knit and crochet projects as well as contributing to larger projects  as a group.

We have now finished our first knitted squares blanket to donate to our local womens refuge. We have enough squares to make another similar blanket and we are also working on our next work gGrrrR!!! .

Update 24 September 2010

We have completed our second large autumn squares blanket, and the two large blankets, along with a number of small cot size blanket and a few other bits and pieces will be donated to Impact For Women Crisis Centre.

We are now well underway with our next squares blanket in reds and purples and planning ahead for the one after that.

We now meet at the Elgin in - Burwood Road Hawthorn on the second Tuesday of the month - upstairs.  The food is good, reasonably priced and the staff are great and we have our own little space to work in.

If you would like to join us for our monthly knitfest feel free.

If you would like to donate squares to our blankets - we would be happy to accept them to incorporate into our blankets for charity.  Sizes are multiples of 10cm - i.e. 10cm x 10cm, 10cm x 20cm, 20cm x 20cm etc.  Crochet or knit, pattern of your choice, colour of your choice - all squares lovingly inserted into blankets for needy.  For now you can send squares to Pubknitters, 46 Flowerdale Road, Glen Iris Vic. 3146 (this may change at any time so check back before posting off).
